MSLETB, in collaboration with IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, the Regional Skills Forum, SOLAS, Grow Remote and Tara 365 Learning, has created this training programme to develop the skillset required of candidates wishing to enter into employment in the area of remote work.
It is generally accepted that remote workers are expected to: work autonomously, use time efficiently, adapt to change and focus on their Professional Development.
The aim of the programme is to equip learners with the digital skills, self-awareness, experience and remote techniques needed to work effectively and visibly in a remote team environment. The course will also provide each participant with an individual Mentor/Trainer to support the learning journey. In addition, the programme will guide learners on their journey from initial career possibilities through to preparing for remote interviews.
This 8-week course is delivered fully online and learners will require access to a PC, laptop or tablet. with good broadband connection in order to participate.
As part of this programme, participants will be offered two individual and personalised career coaching sessions by a qualified coach, at the beginning and at the end of the course. In addition, student mentoring sessions are planned to take place throughout the course.
The QQI L5 Customer Service module of the Programme will be delivered by MSLETB, while core digital skills needed for remote working will be delivered by Tara 365 Learning. Grow Remote will focus on areas such as communication, time management, productivity and self-awareness in working remotely.
Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10am-12pm / 2-4pm Fridays: 11am -12.30pm. There is no charge to participate in this training. The training will commence July 5th - subject to numbers.

100% enjoyed it. Learned so much and gained great confidence in myself through the encouragement of all tutors, no question was left unanswered or unclear and the patience and helpfulness of all tutors must be highly commended.

I wanted to learn more about the apps and features of Microsoft and Google that I don't use all that much and I wanted to become more confident in my digital skills and not be doubting I can do stuff or having to ask someone who to do something. I also wanted to my boost my customer service skills as I've never worked with the public until now. I wanted to make myself more appealing to employers.

Regardless of how much you feel you know you learn more from the tutors and from the fellow students in the course. While it very focused on digital skills and tools it also allows you to learn about communicating and working with people in a remote environment.

Tutors always addressed and revised any element that was queried. Even queries that were not related to the set class material, were always addressed and explained. All class material was well explained and was delivered to all levels of expertise.

The computer skills gained are invaluable whether working remote or in todays world. The structure of the course and the amount of material covered was outstanding and the tutors delivery of same was excellent. The Customer Service was excellent too for anyone new to that role as it was interactive and confidence building for learners also. I would highly recommend this course to my colleagues and friends.
